HoR Summons Authorities of LAA, MoS and MoFA for Alleged Disrespect to former President Weah

Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of States for Presidential Affairs, and the Liberia Airport Authority have all been summoned by the House of Representatives to appear before it on Thursday, June 13, 2024, over allegations of repeated disrespect to former President George Weah regarding the use of the airport’s VIP lounges.

Representative Muka Kamara of Montserrado County District #14 presented a communication to the House of Representative that set off the House’s decision to summon the three government ministries and agency.

Legislative reporters were informed by Representative Kamara on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, that it is impolite for the former President to be denied access to a VIP lounge that he built while in office.

He said that the concerns over the former President’s alleged repeated denials will be addressed by the Executive authorities’ attendance.
