Hundreds left stranded as a major bridge collapses in Sinoe County.

Monrovia, Liberia – A crucial bridge that links Upper and Lower Tartweah has been washed away by the Plansun River in Sinoe County overflowing its bounds.

The fall has caused traffic disruptions for local logging firms and commuters, leaving hundreds of locals stuck.

Since the bridge was an essential means of accessing services and moving products, local officials say the destruction is having a major negative economic impact in the county.

It’s unclear if attempts are being made to evaluate the circumstances and look for short-term fixes. Residents are calling on the local authorities and central government to pay quick attention to the situation.

According to them, the situation does not only affects the commercial activities, but also school children and other activities.
