Fallah Divine Johnson Jr.’s lone goal and Sam Sumo’s double gave Liberia under 17 men’s team a 3-0 victory over First Vienna FC on Sunday at home warte in Austria.
Liberia’s under 17 men’s soccer team delegation comprises players, technical staff, and officials who arrived in Austria earlier to honor several international friendly matches with youth club teams.
The match was a covered-up following their 6-0 defeat against Red Bull Salzburg FC under 17 on Friday in their second match of the arrangements.
Coach Asumana Keita’s boys had a decent 2-0 victory against Austria Wien FC under 18 on Thursday which sent a great signal of their weeklong tour in Austria, but things got bitter in less than 24 hours of their victory only for them to experience a 6-0 defeat.
However, they have two successful wins out of the three matches played. Coach Keita and the team will conclude their preparations against Rapid Wien under-18 at 16:00GMT at the Allianz Stadion in Vienna on June 28, 2022.
The friendlies are part of Liberia’s men under 17 preparations ahead of July’s West African Football Union (WAFU Zone ‘A’) Men’s under-17 Nations Cup qualifiers in Cape Verde.
