The Intra – Governmental tournament continues Friday, May 6, 2022, across the various venues in Montserrado County.
The first Kickball match at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex practice patch in Paynesville, witness the National Elections Commission going against the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defeated the National Elections Commission (NEC) 5 -2 home run meanwhile, the Environmental Protection Agency is automatically qualify for the next stage of the competition after defeating the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporations 5 – 3 in their first Kickball match.
In the 2nd kickball match of the day saw the Ministry of Public Works going against the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA)
The Liberia Airport Authority defeated the Ministry of Public Works 3 -2 home runs to qualify for the next round of the competition.
Liberia Airport Authority defeated the Libera Institute of Statistics & Geo – Information Service’s (LISGI) 17- 9 home runs in their first Kickball match.
In the final kickball match of the day witness the Ministry of Youth and sports narrowly defeating the Ministry of Education 2-1 home runs at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex practice patch in Paynesville.
In the first football match, the Environmental Protection Agency defeated the National Elections Commission 6 -0. In the second football match, 10 men Ministry of Public Works defeated 11 men Liberia Airport Authority 2- 1.
In the final football match of the day, the ministry of education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports settle on a 0 – 0 draw. The Ministry of education wasted their opportunity after the goalkeeper missed a penalty in the dawn minutes of the game.
The ministry of education could be one of the teams that are on the verge of exiting the competition after securing 1 point from two matches. The education boys lost to the Justice ministry 5 goals to 1 in their first football match.
For their part, the ministry of Youth and Sports has secured 4 points from two matches, the tournament will continue next week.
