Monrovia-Invincible Eleven came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Mighty Barrolle on Saturday, September 10 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia in a traditional rivalry.
The match was one of several matches played on Saturday in continuations of the 2022/2023 LFA Orange 1st division league.
The Rollers took the lead a few minutes in the second half, but their celebration did not go for a minute as Saah Nyumah and Elijah Clarke’s connections level the score immediately.
Saah produced a long pass from the IE half straight to Clarke Elijah who volley it over the goalkeeper almost around the 35-yard of the pitch as the ATS went wide with celebration.
The former Watanaga FC and BYC hitman goal has been described by many sports lovers as one of the best goals ever scored in the national league in recent times.
This result means IE has accumulated two points from two matches while Barrolle has just one point from the same number of matches.
IE drew her opening match with Nimba United 1-1 at the North Star Sports Park in Mount Barclay while Barrolle lost 2-0 against LPRC Oilers at the ATS.
Also in the first division league on Saturday, Sanniquelie-based Nimba Kwadoe FC produced a 1-0 away win at Sandi FC at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata City, Margibi County.
While Cece United Football Academy and Freeport FC settled to a 0-0 draw on Friday at the ATS.
LISCR FC and LPRC Oilers are still top of the league table with six points but goal difference separates them. Each of them produced two straight wins in their opening two matches.
