Jeety Rubber, SRC Donate LD300K to Margibi Sports Association Ahead of Semi-Final Clash

Monrovia, Liberia – In recognition of the county’s qualification for the National County Sports Meet 2025/2026 semi-final, Jeety Rubber and its subsidiary, Salala Rubber Corporation, have given LD300,000 to the Margibi Sports Association. Business tycoon Upjit Singh Sachdeva, the owner of both businesses, made the donation as Margibi gets ready to play Nimba and Grand Kru Counties in highly anticipated semi-final matches at the SKD Sports Stadium on January 14, 2026.

The football game between Nimba and Margibi will begin at 5:00 PM, while the kickball match between Margibi and Grand Kru is set to begin at 2:00 PM. The corporations claimed that the LD300,000 donation will be split equally among Margibi’s teams, with LD100,000 going to the football team, LD100,000 to the kickball team, and LD100,000 in various food items to help both teams throughout their rigorous preparation.

Speaking at the gift event, Mr. Sachdeva, popularly known as Jeety, stated that his company’s dedication to promoting sports development in Margibi County is reflected in the gesture. “We are delighted to make this contribution to the Margibi Sports Association,” Mr. Jeety stated. “Their qualification for the semi-final is a tremendous achievement that deserves recognition. This donation reflects our appreciation for teams hard work and dedication throughout this tournament.”

He underlined the importance of sports in fostering community cohesion and giving young people a national stage on which to display their abilities. Mr. Jeety went on to say that Jeety Rubber and Salala Rubber Corporation will keep supporting initiatives that advance growth and harmony in Margibi County because they believe in investing in people.

Tony Walker, Chairman of the Margibi Sports Association, thanked Jeety Rubber and Salala Rubber Corporation for their kind donation, saying it will “significantly boost our teams’ morale and preparation as we face Nimba and Grand Kru in both kickball and football.”

“This donation demonstrates that our corporate partners believe in us and our potential to bring glory to Margibi County,” Mr. Walker said.

He urged other companies and stakeholders to promote grassroots sports development by following this model of corporate social responsibility. According to Mr. Walker, the timing of the donation is especially significant because both teams are nearing the end of their preparations for what should be a thrilling doubleheader on January 14.
