Monrovia, Liberia – Jeety Rubber LLC and its affiliate, Salala Rubber Corporation (SRC), fulfilled a financial commitment to the Margibi County Kickball team after their stunning victory over Nimba County at the ongoing 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet.
On Thursday, January 15, the team and its administrators received a total of L$260,000 from business man Upjit Singh Sachdeva, who owns both companies, in recognition of their 1-0 victory over the Nimba girls, which ensured Margibi’s place in the championship finals.
The contribution gave twenty players L$10,000 apiece, while six team officials also received financial benefits. The donation demonstrated Jeety Rubber and SRC’s ongoing dedication to youth development and sports empowerment in Margibi County and fulfilled Mr. Sachdeva’s earlier pledge to inspire the team before the pivotal game.
Now that Margibi is scheduled to compete in the National County Sports Meet finals, Mr. Sachdeva went on to say that if the team goes on to win the championship trophy, the company will give them an extra cash reward of L$25,000 each. He described the pledge as an expression of gratitude for excellence and pride in the county.
Stakeholders have praised the Margibi Kickball Team’s discipline, tenacity, and rising confidence as they pursue the national championship, and the team’s trip to the finals has been highly hailed throughout the county.
