Joint Security frowns on Senator Johnson’s Statement

TERMING IT, THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY

Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Prince Johnson of Nimba County threatened to fight back if the CDC-led administration tried to meddle with the general elections on October 10, 2023, in a statement that the Joint Security of Liberia has deemed a danger to national security.

The Joint Security Committee expressed its extreme concern over a statement reported to Sen. Johnson in which he is heard threatening an armed uprising in the event that the elections are rigged.

According to a press release by the Joint Security, Liberia is a nation of law; therefore, harmed parties must continue to seek legal remedies to problems rather than using violence.

The press release also stated that it is not advisable for one person to act as judge, jury, and executioner.
