Joint Security Refutes Monrovia Violence Outbreak

Monrovia, Liberia – The news of the violence outbreak in Monrovia has been labelled as mischievous by Liberia’s joint security. According to a press release from the joint security, which was signed by the Liberia National Police on Monday, October 16, 2023, noted that the purpose of the rumours was to terrorise the populace before the election results were revealed.

The Joint Security calls on all Liberians to carry on with their regular activities while they wait for the National Elections Commission to announce the final election results, reiterating its commitment to safeguarding the State’s peace and security.

It forewarns that the full force of Liberian laws will be used to anyone attempting to compromise or jeopardise the peace and security of the State.
