Jubilee, Nimba United and Sandi Relegated to Division Two.

Monrovia, Liberia – As the LFA 2022/2023 league season came to an end on Saturday, April 22, 2023, Jubilee FC, Nimba United, and Sandi FC were all demoted to the second tier.

They fell into the relegation zone after losing 3-0 to Mighty Barrolle on the final day at the SKD practice field, but IE managed a 3-2 away win at Nimba Kwadoe in Sanniquelie to help them avoid it. Freeport FC also avoided relegation by playing to a 2-2 draw with Heaven Eleven at Tusa Field, which helped them surpass Jubilee on goals difference.

Nimba United FC and Sandi FC, who had previously been demoted and whose spots in the second tier had already been secured before the last round of games, joined Jubilee FC.

Statistics show that IE finished the league in tenth position with 29 points from 26 games, behind Jubilee and Freeport FC, who both finished with 26 points, but with different goal differentials.

Prior to the last round of games, Liscr FC was crowned champion.
