Kouh’s Foundation Academy officially launched in Monrovia

CEO Cassell Anthony Kouh promises to rebrand Liberian Football using grassroots

Monrovia, Liberia – Liberian football Stakeholders have identified grassroots football as the best way possible to rebrand the game in the country. They said the current breed of players has overwhelmingly failed the Liberian people.

The most recent step towards placing Liberia back on the map comes from Cassell Anthony Kouh, the former vice president for operations of the Liberia Football Association.

At the Ocean Drive Sports pitch in Monrovia, Mr. Kouh inaugurated Kouh’s Foundation Academy over the weekend, welcoming more than twenty-five youth athletes. He informed the journalist that his goal is to establish a full-fledged football academy so that younger players may learn more about the fundamentals of the game and guarantee that the next George Weah is produced in the future.

Additionally, Mr. Kouh pledged to cover the whole cost of tuition for each player enrolled in the Kouh’s Foundation Academy at any institution of their choosing. He explained that he is prepared to use grassroots methods to advance Liberian football with the assistance of his partners.

Reintroducing the team to the league in the upcoming season is another pledge made by the CEO of the now-defunct FC Fassell. He said the FC Fassel program and the grassroots program will be run independently.

“FC Fassell was completely relegated from the First League while I was away, but rest assured, the team will return during the 2024–2025 League Season, starting in the second division.”
