LACC Latest Report Shows more than 700 Presidential Appointees Remain Non-compliant

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission has highlighted government officials’ violation with the assets declaration system in a report. Only 26.5% of the 1,900 public authorities listed took part in the exercise, according to LACC data.

LACC Executive Chairperson Cllr. Alexandria Zoe said at a news conference on Thursday that just 12 of the 30 senators and 26 of the 73 representatives on Capitol Hill had disclosed their assets.

Of the 1,281 government personnel hired thus far, just 322 have fully completed with the assets declaration process, according to Cllr. Zoe in the Executive. Cllr. Zoe stated that 406 government officials were in compliance, including 84 non-appointed staff.
