Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) and the Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) donating US$250,000 for the development of football in Liberia and the operations of the national team, the Lone Star, as part of their corporate social responsibility.

On Tuesday, February 10, the MOU was signed at the LiMA offices in Congo Town. It is valid for a year and can be renewed after that. During the signing event, Neto Zarzar Lighe Sr. of the Liberia Maritime Authority stressed that the partnership is a strategic investment in Liberia’s football growth rather than merely providing financial support.
The LFA President Mustapha Raji thanked the Liberia Maritime Authority for the historic collaboration and emphasized that the money will be used to improve the LFA’s football development programs, which will help both young boys and girls.
