Enhances Countries Collaboration
Monrovia, Liberia – The Director General of the Cabinet of Liberia, Nathaniel T. Kwabo has met with his Sierra Leonean counterpart, John Sumailah, on Thursday November 21, at his OAU Drive office in Freetown. During President Joseph N. Boakai’s state and working visit to Sierra Leone, Hon. Sumailah, who also serves as the head of the country’s civil service, welcomed Hon. Kwabo and conveyed his happiness at the chance to interact with him on regional issues.
In their conversations, both men emphasized how crucial it is to exchange knowledge and insights in order to improve the operations of their own cabinets.
The Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS), which is also being implemented in Sierra Leone, was one of the main topics of discussion during the meeting. The PMCS’s structure and procedures were described by Hon. Sumailah and his team, who also highlighted the implementation’s difficulties and the system’s major influence on output and service delivery.
Both Kwabo and Sumailah agreed to support study tours targeted at enhancing the capabilities of their respective personnel in order to further solidify their partnership.
Additionally, they pledged to collaborate with other colleagues around Africa via the Africa Cabinet Government Network (ACGN) in order to enhance evidence-based policy creation and decision-making.
The summit is a major step toward increased collaboration between Sierra Leone and Liberia, which will promote better public service delivery and governance in both countries.
