Monrovia, Liberia – The Government of Liberia, in partnership with NOVA Africa Ventures through the National Investment Commission (NIC) has kicked off a 3-day Liberia Investment Conference in a landmark event designed to showcase the country’s vast potential and attract foreign investment.

The conference which is been held at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo will run from August 6-8, 2024 and has brought together government officials, business leaders, local and international investors, and stakeholders to discuss and actively engage on strategic investment opportunities across various sectors.

The theme of this conference is “Winds of Change: Leveraging Private Sector Investment to Spur Growth and Development.”

President Joseph N. Boakai made a special statement on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, stating that although Liberia has a great deal of unrealized potential, significant investment and the introduction of cutting-edge technologies are required to promote long-term economic growth.

The president of Liberia states that the main goal of his administration is to provide the groundwork for raising everyone’s standard of living in the country by making significant, well-thought-out investments in infrastructure, roads, tourism, agriculture, and education.

“My goal is to make Liberia a center of opportunity. This vision is consistent with my ARREST agenda, and I believe that in order to achieve our long-term objectives, domestic and international relationships with the private sector are essential.”

President expressed his desire to invite friends at home and abroad, as well as fellow Liberians living abroad, to enhance their financial contributions to Liberia. “Our aim is to showcase Liberia’s vast investment potential, highlighting lucrative opportunities across various sectors. The government is eager to interact with partners who share our commitment to sustainable development and will actively implement policies to create an enabling business environment.”

The Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Jeff Blibo, emphasized the government’s all-encompassing commitment to developing robust collaborations with the private sector.

The event, according to Hon. Blibo, is an interministerial and government commitment to forming solid partnerships with the business sector for the sake of the nation.

President and CEO of NOVA Ventures Africa, Ambassador David Anderson, shared his excitement for the occasion. Amb. Anderson gave a brief overview of NOVA Venture’s dedication to promoting Liberia’s wealth of possibilities and distinctive potential.
