Liberia scores higher mark in 2023 Human Trafficking Report

Monrovia, Liberia – Liberia foreign minister Dee- Maxwell Kemayah has expressed the Liberian government’s profound gratitude for the recognition of Liberia in the US State Department human trafficking report 2023.

According to the Liberian foreign ministry the Government of Liberia under President Weah is fully committed to working closely with the US government and other international partners aimed at improving Liberia’s ranking in the next report.

However, Minister Kemayah informed the US Envoy that Liberia will keep requesting donor funding in order to raise public awareness of trafficking through neighborhood-based programs.

The Liberian Chief Diplomat also took advantage of the opportunity to thank President George Weah, remarking that the same level of leadership will move Liberia from Tier Two to Tier One or even higher.
