According to him, the Liberian Second Lady also met with Madam Ghizlane Benjelloun at the National Observatory for the Rights of Children in Rabat, Morocco, where they discussed collaborative initiatives to promote the rights and safety of children in both Morocco and Liberia.

The engagement’s main goal, he explained, is to protect the welfare of kids with impairments. Madam Dahn Koung met with Nabila Rmili, the mayor of Casablanca, to discuss ways to empower women, especially those with disabilities, to contribute significantly to their societies in both Morocco and Liberia.

“The significance of the meeting is in line with the legacy of former President William R. Tolbert of Liberia, who, inspired by his time in Asia, promoted social justice and inclusivity by founding the Group of 77 in 1977,” he stated.

The Vice President’s Office oversees the national social welfare program, which supports people with disabilities and is often run by the vice president’s spouse or an authorized agent. The Women’s Summit 2025 is expected to be a crucial forum for sharing ideas, encouraging cooperation, and promoting the social rights of women and children, laying the groundwork for significant changes across countries, according to the Senior Technical Assistant in the Second Lady’s office.
