Monrovia, Liberia – The Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) has qualified Liberia to compete in the 2024 3×3 African Nations Cup. It is scheduled for November 28, 2024, to December 1, 2024, in Madagascar for both men and women.

For the 2019 3×3 African Cup of Nations, the following countries have received certification from FIBA: Madagascar, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Benin, Morocco, Comoros, and Central African Republic. Others are: Liberia, South Africa, Seychelles, Mauritania, Algeria and Rwanda.

Following the rebranding of the Liberia Basketball Association under Abraham Samukai’s direction, this tournament will serve as Liberia’s second international competition.

It can be recalled, Liberia’s last participation in international competition was back in 2007. However, the nation took part in the 2024 Afrobasket under-18 Girls and Boys Championship, which was held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
