Liberia U-18 & U-20 Handball Teams Depart for Zone III Qualifiers in Togo

Monrovia, Liberia – A group from Liberia’s U-18 and U-20 Junior National Handball teams left Roberts International Airport on Tuesday, April 7 on an Air Côte d’Ivoire flight headed for Lomé, Togo. The delegation is expected to go to Lomé, where they will compete in the 2026 IHF Trophy Africa Zone III qualifications, after transiting through Ghana’s Kotoka International Airport.

Steve Quah, the chairman of the House Committee on Youth and Sports, and Miss Marlee Velma Boakai, one of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s children, are among the delegation.

The mission also included J. Aratus Larkpor, President of the Liberia National Handball Association (LNHA), Samuel Haysay, Vice President for Operations, Zwanay Taylor, the technical staff, and Sylvester S. Tamba Jr., Editor of the OK Sports Desk among others.

Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Nigeria, and the host country of Togo are among the Zone III nations that Liberia’s U-18 and U-20 teams will have to contend with.
