    Liberia U-19 and 17 Women’s Handball teams to participate in International Championship.

    Monrovia, Liberia – The women’s handball teams from Liberia, both the under-19 and the 17, have begun training for the next International Handball Federation Championship.

    The eight-nation competition is set to take place in Ivory Coast. They include: host Ivory Coast, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso.

    According to IHF, the championship will take place from April 20 to 25, 2025.The Liberian technical team has subsequently gathered what it considered a win.

    Aratus Larkpor, the president of the Liberia National Handball Federation, has previously pledged to promote handball in his country.

    According to Mr. Larkpor, they have determined that community tournaments and high school titles are essential to elevating the sport in Liberia as part of their efforts to rebrand it.
