Monrovia, Liberia – Due to unethical behavior and serious misbehavior, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has immediately fired one of its officers and suspended two others.
At a press conference held at the Liberia National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Coleman described how, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the evening, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sam Gballah (code name R2), Patrolmen Augustine Ben, and Sansee C. Massaquoi broke into the hotel room of Mr. Nguyah Dean and Mr. Levan Tu, two Vietnamese nationals, at the Luxury Hotel in Thinkers Village. They are accused of stealing $25,000 USD.
The Police Inspector General also said that Sansee Massaquoi, a fired patrolman, has been suspended indefinitely for property theft since 2018.
Patrolman Augustine Ben (cyber) and ACP Gballah (R-2) have been placed under arrest and sent to the Professional Standards Division (PSD) for an administrative probe.
The public was further reassured by the IG that the LNP will not put up with any illegal activity by any police officer working under his supervision.
The Police Inspector General also said that Sansee Massaquoi, a fired patrolman, has been suspended indefinitely for property theft since 2018.
