In connection with a shooting incident that happened in the Fuel Oil Community, Point Four, Bushrod Island, the Liberia National Police has with immediate effect disrobed and turned over James Togba, one of its Emergency Response Unit (ERU) officers.
Olando Bloh, a 37-year-old resident of New Kru Town, was shot and killed in the shooting event, according to information the LNP administration learned late yesterday evening at 7 PM.
According to the LNP, the victim was taken to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, where the attending physician later declared him dead. The officer is currently being investigated while in custody at the Liberia National Police headquarters.
The LNP administration said, it has already reached out to the family of the deceased victim and extended its sympathy, assuring them that justice will be served.
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police Inspector General, Patrick Sudue responding to reports of the shooting expressed dismay and vowed to ensure that the officer involved will be duly investigated and made to face the full weight of the law.
