LNP MAJOR UPDATE

The Crime Against Person Unit (CAPU) of the Liberia National Police has arrested and is investigating suspect Thomas Blamo, an adult and a resident of New Kru Town for his alleged involvement in a Mob Action on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 4: 00 PM.

Police preliminary probe has established that the victim Kolubah Marshall, 32, and his brother to be identified were walking on the Sidewalk in Vai Town when suspect Thomas Blamo lost control of his motorbike and ran into them.

It was further established that they seized the motorbike and took the key from the bike’s switch.

The investigation also uncovered that suspect Thomas Blamo alarmed that the victim was stealing his motorbike which stirred the mob action that resulted in the victim being unconscious.

The victim was immediately taken to JFK Medical Hospital where he was pronounced dead, while suspect Thomas Blamo is currently detained at the Headquarters of the LNP.

Investigation continues.
