The National County Academic Meet quizzing tournament-style self-challenge has been resurrected by the Liberia National Students Union in collaboration with Prime Communication Network in Monrovia for its second iteration. Embracing Transformative Learning: A Pedestal for Academic Excellence will be the subject of the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on January 18, 2023.

Mohammed Kamara, President of LINSU, stated during a news conference on January 16, 2023, in Monrovia noted that the Tournament is designed to encourage academic achievement and competition among various institutions throughout the nation. He said all LINSU officials and members still have a legal obligation and historical duty to support the government of Liberia’s efforts to build up human capacity.

The LINSU president insisted that it wanted to foster ethical democratic ideals, peace, openness, and accountability while also advancing good governance. He noted that the National County Academic Meet is a hallmark activity of LINSU intended to develop the capability of students across the nation and that it is also meant to facilitate networking among students. The program is a platform that has proudly nurtured children who can proudly claim of being the greatest in the area of academia, Kamara insisted, noting that the student’s success is not contingent on attending school and working hard.

Vehzelee Sumo, a representative of Prime Communication Network, reiterated his organization’s commitment to broadcasting all quizzes from the Liberia National Students Union quiz competition across the nation. He applauds the collaboration agreement that Prime FM 105.5 and LINSU have signed and warns the participating students to be diligent in their work. The 15 counties of Liberia received a set of quiz belts from the LINSU Leadership.

The National Students Union president also announced the following individuals as the embodiment of the 2023 National Quizzing Committee:

    • Phil Tarpeh Dixion ….. Quiz master General
    • Blamah Allison….Deputy Quiz Master for Technical Services
    • Kokolu Baysah….. Quiz Master for Administration
