There are reports from Lofa County that the Instructional staff of Lofa County Community College is carrying on a go-slow action for time indefinite.

The Instructional staff of the college on Wednesday began demanding increment in their already low wages and that the variant in instructor’s salaries be addressed by top management before resuming duties.

According to the President of the college faculty Varney Addy, the go-slow action is in response particularly to the President of the college’s alleged refusal to address the concerns of the teachers.

He added that the College Board has been informed about the matter and has taken several diplomatic measures but to no avail. Varney at the same time blamed the President of the institution for the delay in adhering to the plights of the instructors.

For his part, the President of the Lofa County Community College Dr. Samue Ngamai confirm the ongoing go-slow action at his institution and said he has called on the entire faculty for redress but they continue to protest.

He asserted that they have presented a supplementary budget to the legislature waiting for approval and stressed that they have early on written the Finance Ministry on the same matter but to no avail.
