The quarter finals stage of the ongoing National County Sports meet ended on Sunday evening with Bong, Lofa, Nimba, and Margibi Counties setting another new record after all 4 advanced to the semifinals in both football and kickball categories.
Defending champion Nimba got better off River Cess in the first quarter final match with 4-2 home runs in kickball and 3-2 in football to path her way to the semi finals.
The current holders will face Margibi who also defeated Montserrado 2-0 in football category on Sunday afternoon, but they will face off with Bong in kickball.
Bong and Lofa will go head-to-head in the second football semifinal.
Since three consecutive years of elimination in the zonal stages, the Orange boys officially progressed to this stage in a 7 goal thriller against South Eastern County of Maryland in the final quarter final match on Sunday.
They waited until extra time when, James Jarbo came off the bench to secure a 4-3 win as SKD Sports Complex went wide with celebration because they had the highest number of supporters at stadium based on statistical analysis.
For their part, the Wologizi boys or the Lions defeated Grand Bassa 3-2 on Saturday that also ended in extra time.
James Tarpeh proved his supremacy once again as he scored brace to prove to the people of Bassa what it takes to lose such a huge talent.
The former MVP featured for Bassa during the last edition as they reached the semi finals stage.

According to the organizers, the semifinal matches will take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, beginning at 12 pm with kickball.
