CLAIMED TO FIRED WORKERS FROM LOFA AND NIMBA COUNTIES, PARTISANS, AND SUPPORTERS OF UNITY PARTY
Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Revenue Authority strongly refutes the false, deceptive, and misleading information currently circulating on social media regarding the alleged dismissal of employees believed to be Unity Party partisans and supporters from Lofa and Nimba counties.
The Liberian Revenue Authority (LRA) is cited in a release released on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, as a national government entity that is steadfastly dedicated to obtaining legal revenue for the advancement of the republic and its citizens.
The release underlined that the LRA does not hire or fire employees based on their political affiliations and upholds a strong culture of nonpartisanship.
“We wish to make it abundantly clear that the LRA will not be distracted by any form of negative propaganda that seeks to draw the authority into the realm of mainstream politics.”
