Monrovia, Liberia – A delegation from the Liberia Revenue Authority’s (LRA) Taxpayer Services Division was hosted by the Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority (LSEZA) on Thursday in accordance with the presidential directive regarding real property tax payments.
For LSEZA’s mid-level and senior management employees, the LRA team conducted an extensive awareness and education workshop with an emphasis on real property tax registration and payment procedures. Through the LRA’s digital platforms, the facilitators illustrated detailed procedures and underlined the value of compliance in promoting national growth and enhancing the provision of public services.
Members of the LSEZA management team expressed important queries and worries throughout the interaction, demonstrating their keen interest in comprehending and following the new compliance protocols as outlined in the executive order signed by President Joseph Boakai. All participants were able to better understand the criteria, deadlines, and payment procedures related to real property taxation thanks to the LRA representatives’ concise and useful answers.
Additionally, the workshop gave LSEZA and the LRA a chance to have an open discussion, enhancing interagency cooperation in promoting fiscal restraint and openness in government operations. Both organizations reaffirmed their dedication to advancing the government’s goal of enhancing domestic resource mobilization for long-term, steady national development.
LSEZA is still steadfast in its commitment to make sure that its Senior Management Team members follow the Presidential direction and set an example of honesty and responsibility in public service, the institution noted. The Authority looks forward to a continued collaboration in improving tax compliance at all governmental levels and thanked the LRA team for their professionalism and technical advice in a release.
