Following the launch of the National   Fund Drive to rehabilitate and empower the at At-Risk  Youths across the country, Lebanese business Man and Chief Executive Officer of the Manco Manufacturing Company Mr. Assad Fadel has made a cash donation of  USD$25,000 towards the Fund Drive and promises to employ the rehabilitated At-Risk Youths in his Company.

Mr. Fadel made the donation during the official launch of the At-Risk Fund Drive on June 30, 2022, at the Ellen Johnson Ministerial Complex in Monrovia.

The At-Risk Youths Fund Drive is the project set up to rehabilitate disadvantaged Youth, targeting the amount of USD$13.9M to transform the lives of street and At-Risk youths in society.

The CEO of Manco Company lauded the Government for its engagement to rehabilitate the At-Risk youth (Zogos) from Various ghettos in and around  Monrovia and the Country at large.

Also, he assured his Company preparedness to employ those At-Risk  Youths  who will successfully graduate from their rehabilitation program

“We have been planning and working along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to help the young people in Liberia” he noted.

According to him, today the name Zogo has been changed to a better name so that people can recognize them as good citizens in society.

While he considers himself a Liberian citizen by choice,  he announced his Company doors open to working alongside the Ministry of Youth and Sports to develop the mind of the At-Risk Youths and promises to sponsor those who will successfully graduate from their respective programs to the University level.

” My father used to tell me that, it’s a good sign for any country that is free in accepting other people from different countries”, CEO Assad Fadel noted.

Given the history of Manco Company, he stated that MANCO is the vision of Raef Fadel, who founded the Liberia Bleach & Chemicals Company in 1969 and began producing CLORA Super Bleach. The company was renamed in 1981 and began adding other products to its roster. It is a proud family-owned business, with three generations of the Fadel family involved in the business, MANCO is an indelible part of the Caldwell community in which it operates. MANCO has remained operational through multiple coups and conflicts. During the recent outbreak of Ebola, MANCO partnered with the Government of Liberia and international organizations to provide the products desperately needed to stem the tide of infection and disease.

At the same time, the government of Liberia through the office of the President has made an initial contribution of one Million United States Dollars to the At-Risk  Youths  Fund  Drive to boost the process.
