A town hall meeting with numerous market women was held in Gbarnga City, Bong County, by Liberia’s Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Mr. Nathaniel F. McGill. Minister McGill claimed that the purpose of the gathering was to provide microloans to rural women all around Liberia.
This is not the first time Mr. McGill is visiting the county with an initiative to promote the Weah led government, especially promoting the CDC agenda come 2023. The CDC led government is hoping to gain her second term come 2023 after the presidential and general elections.
Minister McGill has also launched a scholarship drive in the name of President Weah and his government in that part of the country, promoting education to the underprivileged in Bong County.
“The best method to combat poverty and enhance the standard of living for our people is to empower rural women.”, Minister McGill asserted.
The statesman’s quest to bring the CDC led government back to power come 2023 is increasing by the day as he has also initiated the empowerment of women in Nimba County and other counties in Liberia. As an eye of the president, Mr. McGill remarked that he will not rest until the president’s dream come alive, that is, making sure all Liberians feel the good impact of the Weah led government, especially in the area of health, education, promoting Liberian businesses and the economy, promoting women in leadership, increasing youth participation in the governance process amongst others.
The people of Bong County thanked the Weah government and Mr. McGill for their continuous efforts in bringing happiness to the people of Liberia and promised to work with the administration especially during the election period to bring the CDC government back to power after the 2023 general elections.
