The Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) on Thursday held a one-day symposium at the Monrovia City Hall. The symposium according to the organizer is meant to foster unity among students and Instructors.

This year’s symposium according to the organizer is part of MCSS’s New Head, Isaac Saye Zawolo’s plans to transform the educational sector which many people claimed in the past was a mess.

Serving as a lecturer at the symposium, the Commissioner-General of Liberia Revenue Authority, Thomas Doe Nah, decry the increased rate of corruption in the country as a factor affecting the improvement of the educational sector.

The LRA boss called on schools Administrators across the country to employ quality teachers in the educational sector with better incentives if the sector is to improve positively.

The LRA Commissioner General at the same time recommended better learning facilities to be made available for schools Administrators which according to him will play a pivotal role to get a positive change.

“I am speaking to both private and public institutions to create an enabling environment for students to be more focus on acquiring quality education, Commissioner Doe Nah expressed”.

For his part, Monrovia Consolidated School System boss, Isaac Saye Zawolo lamented that his Leadership will ensure teachers in the MCSS schools will get the appropriate logistics including finance in order to pay serious attention to students in the sector.

He called on teachers in the system that are teaching more than two schools and not paying attention to MCSS students to desist. According to him, his Leadership has set up a monitoring team whose role is to monitor activities in all of the MCSS Institutions in Monrovia to check MCSS schools and teachers who are not doing their job well.
