    MCSS on the Right Trajectory, says New Superintendent

    The Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) has climax activities leading to the growth and development of the sector under the theme: “MCSS Championing Opportunities for growth and development”.

    The activities which started on  Thursday, April 21, 2022, with a daylong symposium at the Monrovia City Hall was followed by a grand parade from the Sports Commission on Broad Street in Central Monrovia to the William V.S. Tubman High School campus in Sinkor with sporting activities on Friday, April 22, 2022.

    The three days activities however ended on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Monrovia City Hall with a fundraising dinner.

    The program brought together stakeholders, Students, teachers, officials of government, Administrators both from the public and private sectors, and officials from the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS).

    Speaking at the funds raising aspect of the program, the Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated Scholl System (MCSS), Isaac Saye-Lakpoh Zarwolo, acknowledged that they are anticipating raising the amount of fifty -five million Liberian dollars in-order to revamp the entire (MCSS) sector.

    According to the MCSS boss, such a gathering is necessary for officials of the sector to come up with issues to be addressed in respective of their Institutions so as to find solutions to the problem to move the sector forward.

    Serving as  Chief Launcher of the funds raising program, the economic policy adviser at the Ministry of Finance in the office of Minister Samuel D.Tweh, Rufus Dakotay, disclosed that the government of Liberia is about to construct three modern public high schools in three of the fifteen counties in Liberia.

     He named: Margibi, Bong, and Nimba counties as places the government termed to construct better secondary learning Institutions as compared to the William V.S. Tubman High School in Monrovia.

    Commenting further, he said the government of Liberia will also construct twenty-five Junior High Schools in districts where there is no school.

    The Economy policy adviser of Minister Tweh also used the occasion to inform the public that the government under the stewardship of President George Weah will also construct eighteen childhood development schools in six counties including Sinoe, Bomi, River Gee, Grand Kry, Mary Land, and Rivercess Counties.

    The participants many of whom were from the public Institutions asked how these schools will get the necessary logistics and financial support when some public Institutions Administrators are finding it difficult to maintain their institutions.
