Defending Basketball 1st division champions, Mighty Barrolle fell to another heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Bushrod Bulls in the ongoing big six components of the 2022 league season. The match took place on Thursday at the SKD Sports Gymnasium in Paynesville.
The Rollers had a greater opportunity of winning the game after a strong performance in the third quarter that gave them a dominating lead with 58-47 points, an 11-point advantage, but they were unable to do so as the Bulls prevailed by 73-71 points, a narrow 2 points margin, in the fourth quarter.
This defeat is Mighty Barrolle’s 3rd straight defeat against Bushord Bulls in this league season. They lost both home and away in the first and second rounds followed by a heartbreaking defeat in the big six to create a huge blow to their qualifications for best out of four.
In the female division, D-Rockas defeated Hoop Angels by 50-42 points on last Thursday, July 28, 2022, as well.
In Sunday’s matches, Cestos Mogars will take on Invincible Eleven(IE) at 5 pm while Bushord Bulls take on NPA Pythons at 7 PM in the final match. Both matches are in the male 1st division.
