Monrovia, Liberia – The Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Jerolinmek Matthew Piah has issued warnings to those who have incrush on government propertys.

Speaking during the MICAT Press Briefing on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Minister Piah revealed that following the destruction of the first Kendeja culture center, the government, acting through the Ministry of Information, purchased 50 acres of land.

According to Minister Piah, half of the land has been incrush upon by people noting that even if the wealth cost millions it will be destroyed.

“Let this come as a warning to those who build and those who are still building, we will use the law, even if you build something that is at the cost of ten million on a property that those not belongs to you, we will use the law to demolish those properties.”

The Minister further urged those involved in these acts to put an end to the lawlessness, noting that they have written to the Ministry of Justice and pledged to restore government-owned land.

He insisted that the government would use the legal system to recapture the land since his administration is dedicated to reconstructing Liberia’s cultural hub.
