Monrovia, Liberia – At an emergency National Executive Committee sitting on Friday, June 7, 2024, in Monrovia, the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) reaffirmed its unflinching support to Amb. Dee Maxwell Kemayah as Political Leader of the Party.
Speaking at a major Press conference following the emergency sitting, the NEC through its acting National Chairman, Prince Mehn said, members of the National Executive Committee has filed a vote of explicit confidence in Amb. Kemayah.
According to him, Amb. Kemayah remains the political Leader of MOVEE and will therefore lead the Party to 2029 Presidential and Legislative elections.
He reaffirmed MOVEE commitment in supporting the former ruling Coalition for Democratic Change; noting that MOVEE remain in the Collaboration.
The reaffirmation of support however, comes amidst the reported expulsion of Amb. Kemayah as Political leader of the party by some expelled members.
The emergency sitting was attended by MOVEE’s County chapters from across the fifteen counties with some making official statements at the occasion.
According to Chairman Mehn, Article 14 section 2.6 of MOVEE by-laws and constitution give the right for emergency sitting.
