Monrovia, Liberia – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) and Sharda University of India has been signed, creating a new framework for academic collaboration and capacity building in Liberia’s higher education sector. The deal demonstrates NCHE’s dedication to growing international collaborations that promote quality, innovation, and international competitiveness among Liberian institutions.

Through this partnership, it is anticipited that Sharda University and the NCHE will collaborate closely to support professional training opportunities, research development, and academic exchange for students, professors, and administrators. Scholarship opportunities, faculty development programs, curriculum enhancement, digital learning support, and the introduction of specialized academic subjects in line with Liberia’s national development aspirations are among the MoU’s key areas of concentration.
In its capacity as Liberia’s higher education regulatory body, the NCHE will oversee institutional involvement, offer policy guidance, and guarantee that all cooperative projects adhere to accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The Commission stressed that this collaboration shows an ongoing dedication to raising academic standards, bolstering institutional capacity, and raising the standard of higher education in the nation as a whole.
