NEC Certificates 73 Elected Law Makers

Monrovia, Liberia – Representatives and Senators elected on October 10, 2023, have received certificates from the National Elections Commission, numbering around 73. According to NEC Chairperson Davidetta Brown Lassana, there have been no electoral complaints made against the results that have been declared in favour of those who have been certified by the NEC.

About fifteen senatorial and representative candidates still have complaints made against them by other competing candidates, according to Chairperson Lassana.

She also revealed that the Unity Party had sent the commission a letter requesting that it postpone certifying Jeremiah Koung and Joseph Boakai as the next president and vice president, respectively, due to important commitments in the US.
