New Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Promises more investment to Liberia

Monrovia, Liberia – The newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Liberia, YIN Chengwu has pledged to the Liberian government that he will increase mutual trust and collaboration, promote investment in Liberia, and do everything he can to help Liberia. He promised to foster an atmosphere that would allow both countries’ different development visions to be realized, to promote the creation of a fair and rational international order, and to remain steadfast in his opposition to the legacies of colonialism and hegemony.

Ambassador YON Chengdu stated during a meeting with Dee Maxwell Kemayah, the foreign minister of Liberia, that he firmly supports both nations in defending their core interests, hopes to open a new chapter in their cordial relations and cooperation in various fields, and wants to better serve the citizens of both nations.

China and African nations, especially Liberia, are close communities with a shared future, according to Ambassador YIN Chengdu. He stated that while Africa is making every effort to create a new Africa that is peaceful, united, prosperous, and committed to self-improvement, China is actively pushing the great revitalization of the Chinese country with the Chinese route to modernity. Citing “The Belt and Road Initiative, the Nine Projects of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative.’’

The Plan for China-Africa Cooperation on Talent Development, the Plan for China Supporting Africa’s Agricultural Modernization, and the Initiative on Supporting Africa’s Industrialization were all announced by President Xi at the recent BRICS Summit in South Africa, according to Ambassador Chengwu. These three big initiatives are a striking illustration of China’s tangible support for Africa’s development and address the areas that the continent desperately needs to modernize.
