Paynesville – A group of Nimba Citizens under the banner “Nimba Kwado” has endorsed the second term bid of President George Weah ahead of the much anticipated October 10 polls.
The group is a conglomeration of influential Nimba citzens who reside in and out of Nimba County with a unique leadership structure in each of the 15 Counties.
Nimba Kwado leadership spoke strongly that President Weah has been providing job and educational opportunities to Nimba Citizens whilst investing adequately in the development of the County.
They vowed to vigorously mobilize not only in Nimba but also across the nation to guarantee President Weah’s reelection because, in their opinion, he has consistently shown that he has what it takes to be granted a second term mandate. At the Jamaica Resort in Paynesville on Friday, March 3, 2023, the local and national officials of Nimba Kwado, along with other citizens of Nimba County, gathered and delivered the statement of support to President Weah.
Prior to the October 10, 2023, presidential and legislative elections, President George Weah has received a number of petitions from Liberians, the most recent endorsement is an addition to those many citizes calling for the re-election of President.
President Weah thanked the people of Nimba for consistently supporting him in his efforts in response to the endorsement. The Liberian Leader reassured the group that his government will continue to make significant interventions in Nimba and throughout the 15 Counties in an effort to develop the Country through the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development.
