Nimba Kwado Football Club has officially confirmed Jasper Benfelix as the successor of Kollie Korvy as the new manager. Coach Korvy was dismissed at the end of the 2021/2022 league season which created a vacancy for a new manager.

Coach Jasper Benfelix, 42-year joined the Sanniquellie-based 1st division club on a two-year deal. The deal runs from 2022 until 2024, with an option of further extension.

Coach Benfelix last managed Cece United Football Academy in the last edition of the Orange 2nd division league where he won the league and also gain automatic promotion to the topflight just in their first season.

Following his successful move to Nimba Kwado, he told Reports 231 in an interview on Thursday, July 14, 2022, that despite moving to his new home, he still remains a die-hard supporter of Cece United Football Academy.

According to him, he loves the club, players, and the administration, but as a professional coach, is always good to seek a new challenges.

“I love Cece United, but I’m a professional coach, I need to seek new challenges. I look forward to coming back to Cece United in the long run, but for now, I’m only thinking of bringing to an end a trophy drought for Nimba Kwado.  Kwado has been in the first league for some time without tasting the title which is my foremost hope of ending that barrel, Coach Benfelix said”.

Meanwhile, Cece United on Friday announced the departure of coach Jasper Benfelix on its official Facebook page.

According to a release, Cece United and coach Jasper Benfelix have come to a mutual agreement to part ways with immediate effect after a season with the club.

In his single-season spell with Cece United, Benfelix led the team to their historic Second Division championship and automatic qualification to the First Division League.

“We are thankful to Benfelix for his service at Cece United and wish him well in his future endeavors. The Club will make further announcements in due course before the start of the new league season,” the club announced.
