Monrovia, Liberia – The Management of the National Port Authority (NPA) announced on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a donation of US $2 million to the government’s national income envelope in an attempt to support government developmental activities.
During a special press briefing held by the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism in Monrovia, Sekou Dukuly stated that his administration had produced US$6 million in revenue in the last five months.
Based on the entity income generation, he said, he believes that the NPA, as the nation’s revenue generating entity, must support government efforts.
The head of the NPA said that the organization only made four million dollars in contributions over a six-year period under the previous administration.
Director Dukuly also voiced worries about his predecessor, River Cess County senator Bill Tweahway, He alleged that the former administration failed to pay personal income taxes and social security fees to the government.
He reaffirmed the NPA commitment in supporting the government of Liberia ARREST Agenda.
