NPA, US Coast Guard Holds Meeting to Reinforce Port Security and Others measures.

Monrovia, Liberia – In line with the ISPS Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the National Port Authority (NPA) has hosted the United States Coast Guard in a series of compliance drills and monitoring exercises aimed at reinforcing port security and operational resilience.

Speaking during the National Port Authority meeting in Monrovia on Monday, February 24, 2025, NPA Managing Director Sekou A.M. Dukuly praised the US Coast Guard for their steadfast collaboration and dedication to bolstering Liberia’s port industry.

According to Director Dukuly, the US Coast Guard continuous support has been instrumental in shaping a more secure and resilient maritime environment. Under the direction of Col. Famond A. Kanneh, the NPA’s Chief Security Executive (CSE) and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), the security exercise was praised as a successful illustration of strong security protocols and interagency cooperation, he added.

Dukuly went on to say that the NPA is still committed to maintaining the highest levels of port security and to continuing collaborations that enhance the effectiveness and safety of Liberia’s maritime operations.
