Peacebuilding Office, HWPL-S/Korea sign Peace Project.

Monrovia, Liberia – The Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL), a South Korean peacebuilding organization, and the Liberia Peacebuilding Office, through their executives, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of forming a partnership in the implementation of peace education in various institutions throughout the nation.

The Liberia Peacebuilding Office and HWPL-South Korea signed an MOU with the goal of enhancing their strategic relationship in order to provide peace education in secondary schools throughout the nation. The Liberia Peacebuilding Office’s Executive Director, Sheikh S. S. Kamara, signed on behalf of the organization, while Jang Semin, the Chief Branch Manager of HWPL-Liberia, signed on behalf of HWPL. The signing ceremony took place at the PBO/Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWLP) is a non-profit organization with its headquarters located in Seoul, South Korea. It seeks to create a new generation of world peace.

Speaking at the event, PBO Executive Director Sheikh S. S. Kamara praised HWLP’s efforts in identifying Liberia as one of the African countries chosen to carry out the project. He added that greater awareness is still required in Liberia to caution the next generation about the value of peace in the nation and to acknowledge the need of peace education for students.

The Liberia Peacebuilding Office’s broad mandate includes addressing the underlying causes and potential triggers of conflict in the nation, providing conflict sensitivity analysis on the government’s development policies, and improving the ability of peace structures to prevent and peacefully resolve conflicts.

In order to assess the overall effect of peacebuilding in the nation, the PBO promotes peacebuilding, coordination, and coordination while also developing new programs and methods.
