AS CHINESE EMBASSY IN LIBERIA COLLOBRATE WITH FIRST LADY OFFICE ON MEDICAL OUTREACH TO ORPHANS

Schielfflin, Margibi County – The People’s Republic of China Embassy in Liberia has provided free health examinations to the Phebe Gray Orphanage in Schielfflin Town, Margibi County. The Chinese government has deployed 15 medical support teams to Liberia’s health sector during the past 30 years, according to Xu Kun, Charge d’ Affaires at the Chinese embassy.

He claimed that Amb. Clar Weah, First Lady of the Republic of Liberia, and Prof. Peng Liyuan, First Lady of China, are close friends and that Prof. Peng Liyuan is very concerned about health care in Africa and Amb. Clar Weah’s work for the advancement of women and children in Liberia.

In order to improve the health of orphans in Africa, Prof. Peng Liyuan and the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) recently launched the “Warm Children’s Hearts, A China-Africa Joint Action” initiative. The First Lady of the Republic of Liberia, Amb. Clar Weah, strongly backed this project and personally attended this ceremony, which shows how much she cares about Liberian kids, Xu Kun noted.

The officer in charge of the Chinese Ambassy in Liberia added that, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia has donated some school supplies and medical supplies for the kids as part of this exercise, and they will also provide the kids free medical checkups so they can feel well on Children’s Day.

”In China, children affectionately refer to Professor Peng Liyuan as Peng Mama, and I believe you will also be proud to have such a motherly First Lady as Clar Weah.”

He encouraged the children to pay attention t their lessons and focus and health in order to live long.

Amb. Clar Weah, the first lady of the Republic of Liberia, reaffirmed her dedication to helping orphans and other children around the world, particularly youngsters whose parents cannot afford to care for them.

The First Lady stated that she is committed to assisting in the upbringing of the children because she believes they are Liberia’s future leaders.

Amb. Clar Weah praised the People’s Republic of China for their continue help to Liberia, particularly young Liberians. She commended the first lady of China for collaborating with the first ladies of Africa to support youth development on the continent.
