Capitol Hill, Monrovia -The Liberia National Police has released a wanted list for Queen Johnson and other individuals connected to the alleged mob violence against Joshua Solomon, a supporter of the Coalition for Democratic Change, which may have resulted in his death. Queen Johnson is alleged to be a member of the Unity Party.
Videos of Joshua Solomon being beaten by an irate audience in what appears to have been a violent protest have been making the rounds on social media. The videos show young Liberians who are alleged to be members of the incoming government led by the Unity Party angrly assaulting the late Solomon.
On Monday, December 4, 2023, Police Spokesman Moses Carter stated at a press conference that police detectives have tried, but have been unsuccessful, to get Suspect Queen Johnson to show up at the Liberia National Police Headquarters.
Solomon, 35, a member of the outgoing Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of President George M. Weah, withered from his injuries sustained on August 11, 2023. Prior to Solomon’s violent outburst, there had been a fight between Unity Party and Coalition of Democratic Change supporters close to the Vamoma House, which resulted in several injuries to partisans from both parties.
