Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai has received and welcomed four distinguished ambassadors accredited to Liberia. At the Executive Mansion in Monrovia on Tuesday, November 26, each ambassador gave a Letter of Credence, signifying their countries’ dedication to developing closer diplomatic relations with Liberia.
Among the ambassadors are H.E. Dominique Michel Favre of Switzerland, H.E. Mohamed Abdellah Khattra of Mauritania, H.E. Daniel Graces Carabali of Colombia, and H.E. Roey Gilad of Israel.
Speaking with the ambassadors, President Boakai disclosed that “Liberia is open for business.” He emphasised Liberia’s business-friendly policies and urged greater international economic cooperation.
The government’s dedication to encouraging neighborly relations and cooperating with other nations to accomplish common development objectives was reiterated by President Boakai.
The Liberian leader use the opportunity to call for closer cooperation in investment, commerce, and youth empowerment in order to further develop bilateral relations.
President Boakai emphasized his Administration’s aim to cultivate fruitful ties with all friendly states, reaffirming his dedication to building solid alliances.
“With the support of our international partners, we can create a future in which Liberia is regarded as one of the developed nations of the world, as we have come a long way.”
A new phase of collaboration between Liberia and these three countries, centered on shared objectives in commerce, investment, education, and development, marked by the presentation of Letters of Credence.
Ambassador Boakai in recognition of Israel’s historical contributions to Liberia, noted that Liberia was the first African nation to recognize the State of Israel since 1948.
During his speech, Ambassador Gilad reiterated Israel’s commitment to deepening its relationship with Liberia.
In order to help Liberia’s development and transition, Ambassador Gilad emphasized mutual cooperation and promised to restore previous trade, investment, and educational partnerships.
Additionally, Colombian Ambassador Carabali conveyed appreciation for Colombia’s longstanding partnership with Liberia. He underlined Colombia’s willingness to back Liberia’s development goals.
