Pres. Weah lands in Doha, Qatar

Doha, Qatar, Release –According to reports, President George Manneh Weah of Liberia has arrived in Qatar’s capital city of Doha. The Liberian leader landed in the Arab country of Qatar’s capital city of Doha, according to The Executive Mansion on Friday, November 18, 2022.

President Weah traveled from Paris to Doha and spoke out in favor of the advancement and expansion of Liberia at the Paris Peace Forum. The Qatari government and the Federation of International Football Associations are hosting Mr. Weah and 26 other presidents in Qatar (FIFA).

According to the Executive Mansion’s report, Mr. George Weah, a former FIFA Ballon d’Or winner and head of the Qatar 2022 World Cup bid, is scheduled to meet with H.H. Sheikh Tamim Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, on a bilateral and multilateral basis. The Liberian leader will also meet with the heads of other organizations, including the Qatar Foundation, the Aspire Zone Foundation, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and the chairman of Al-Qamar Holdings.
