Monrovia, Liberia-President George Weah has officially launched a one hundred million United States Dollars project towards community development and impacting under-privileges Liberians. The Liberian Leader noted that Liberia will continue to partner with the UN and World Bank to implement the project.
The accelerated community development program which is a special flagship program under the office of president Weah will be implemented as a partnership between the government of Liberia and International partners.

He added that the program will be implemented in a manner that is Transparent and has the full ownership and involvement of the respective communities.
President Weah extolled the UN for playing a vital role in supporting the government of Liberia to implement the spotlight program and other gender initiatives which are addressing issues of Gender-based violence.
The Liberian Chief executive launched the project at a ceremony organized by the One United Nations House in Liberia on Monday, October 24, 2022, in commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the United Nations.
Delivering a statement on behalf of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Resident Coordinator of the UN in Liberia Niels Scott emphasized the need to bring to life the value and principles of the UN charter.
The resident coordinator praised Liberia for maintaining peace in the Sub-region and contributing to restoring peace on the African continent.
