In the wake of Pres. George Manneh Weah’s continuation of his nationwide county tour, the Liberian leader has received a warm reception in electoral District #6, Montserrado County.

The National Gymnasium and its surrounding at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, on Wednesday, was overcrowded with thousands of Liberian citizens who have come to welcome the President, with dominant Red as a symbol of their district.

The citizens were over-excited with musical, and cultural, performances at the gymnasium.

Meanwhile, the district Representative Samuel Enders has hailed pres. Weah for his huge development in the district. Rep. Enders asserted that Pres. Weah has taken district six to another level in terms of development.

“Mr. President you have done well for our district and we are not saying this because you are here my people and I was planning to come to you and tell you thank you.”

“Every avenue of our district has been connected by you Mr. President and we are happy to have you as a leader and a real Son of our soil,” Rep.Ender extolled.

He at the same time requested to the President that the President’s two million United States Dollars loan to Montserrado should be named after the first lady Clar Marie Weah, and vowed to launch the loan with $1,500 United States Dollars.

District Six is one of the districts in Montserrado County that has benefited greatly in terms of feeder roads connectivity, which has been one of the President’s priorities in the Pro-poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD)

President Weah has connected and still connecting every avenue of the district. The purpose of the president’s nationwide tour is to interact with the citizens and listen to their concerns, and issues that are affecting them, and then get back to the drawing board for redress.

Pres. Weah has now visited nine districts out of the 17 districts in Montserrado County. Montserrado is the biggest Political hub in the Republic of Liberia.

He started the nationwide tour in February 2021 and covered 14 of the 15 counties, where he identified and constructed several projects and now concluding with Montserrado County.
