President Boakai Applauds Burkina Faso on 64th Independence Anniversary

Monrovia, Liberia – On behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, as well as in his own name, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has extended congratulations to the Government and People of Burkina Faso on the occasion of that nation’s 64th anniversary of independence.

President Boakai expressed in a Foreign Affairs release that he hopes the friendly relations of cooperation and friendship that currently exist between the two nations and peoples will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity as Liberians celebrate this historic day.

The head of Liberia went on to express his excitement about continuing to work with President H.E. Captain Ibraham Traore of the Republic of Burkina Faso as they both advance the UN and African Union Principles for the advancement of regional and global peace and security.

Then he prayed that President Traore would continue to have an abundance of strength and wisdom from the Almighty God as he guides his countrymen toward greater prosperity.
